Check out @xivsierra, a local start-up and one-man business that is creating products that are Designed to be Earned. Celebrate your climbing accomplishments with a Hikers Pint: a pint glass with a 3D rendition of a Colorado 14er molded in the base. @xivsierra believes in giving back, so a portion of the sale of each glass is donated to the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative (CFI) to help preserve and protect the natural integrity of Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks. Only Mount Bierstadt Hikers Pint is available right now, but based on sales and comments, he plans to continue creating a glass for each one of Colorado's 14ers. So let's show some support! Let's see what this business can create!
We're always excited to see new brands creating 14er related products with a goal of giving back to the peaks. Check out @xivsierra, a local start-up making pint glasses with 3D renditions of Colorado's Fourteeners molded into the base. XIV Sierra will donate a portion of all sales to support CFI's trail stewardship work. Head over to their website to learn more and pick up a commemorative glass: http://www.xivsierra.co
haven't done this 14er yet so let's get 'er done and get these pint glasses
Tonight I gave a talk at a fundraiser for Custer County Search and Rescue, and I just wanted to thank @xivsierra for donating some hand blown 14er profile glasses to help raise funds. They are really awesome! "don't always drink beer, but when I do, it's out of this glass!"
My brother is currently striving to climb all the 14ers in Colorado. So far he's done over 30 of them! The first one we ever climbed together was Bierstadt. My dad took us when we were pretty young and got us addicted to hiking and I think planted the seed for my brother's current goal. My dad has since passed away but I saw this glass and thought it would be a great reminder of all the hiking we did with our dad when we were younger. Hopefully you can make more of these awesome glasses and encourage my brother to climb more peaks! I love love love this idea and would love to see more of these glasses! Although I don't have much of an opinion on which peak you should do next, I just wanted to say I'm really excited for my brother to receive his glass! Thanks!
